Secret Walls

The first Secret Walls quarter final happened on 8th July with The Hores vs Matthew James. I was there and I was drinking, here are some average photos of the excellent finished pieces:

The Hores (who won)

Matthew James

The next event is this Sunday 22nd July with the lovely Vomit vs Rikki Finn. If you've ever read this blog before, you'll know who I'll be loudly biased towards.

Few bits from June

If you look to your right you'll notice this: 'The best bits of Birmingham street art (and my own guerilla knitting ventures) updated when I'm not feeling lazy.' so no bitchin'.

Brizzle

I spent the weekend sitting on pavements drinking wine and getting rained on in the North Street area of Bristol for Upfest (the largest urban art festival in Europe!), so you should imagine this blog post with a west country accent.

The main reason for ending up in the horror of bank holiday traffic on Saturday was to see our very own Lisk perform, right in front of the main Upfest venue (The Tobacco Factory (I still prefer Custard)):

Angry Face happened to have some cans and so ended up doing a piece at The Luckwell Club on the Sunday:

Now I think I'll just go through each bit of the festival I've got photos of and choose my favourites..

Summer holiday

It's great that the weather is so beautiful, no one minds that I've not updated the blog in over a month. You guys are brilliant, just so understanding. And attractive too.

Zoot is back! He's plastered some classic designs on a few legendary spots, like this one on Bradford Street:

Wah and C3 were involved in a open mic and live art event at The Coffee Room on Saturday night, my attention was mainly focused on drinking beer so I don't have finished piece photos...

A new pub is opening on Meriden Street soon and so Mister Boogie Dave has enlisted the help of street artists such as Tempo33, Ouch, N4T4, Philth and Juice to get it looking Digbeth friendly.

You turn your back for one week...

I was away from my beloved Digbeth to see some family last week so I've had to quickly catch up on the many goings on and pretty things that have turned up on the streets.

Perhaps most excitingly is the brilliant Mr Penfold paying the area a visit. It seems he was looked after by Tempo33, here's what they got up to:

The Rainbow held several events over the bank holiday weekend and one of them included complementary live art from Philth, N4T4 and Glenn Anderson:

The 48Sheet project has come to Birmingham; 29 artists have created designs using the 48 sheet layout of a billboard  and now they're on display in prominent spots all over the city. Technically it's art on the street and some of the artists involved are better known to me for their illegal exploits so here are a few photos:

PTP came back to visit again! Here are some photos from the mandatory pasting session with two of the Rebel guys on Tuesday 3rd April:

March is a rubbish month anyway.

I don't really like March and the March that's just finished was very busy, here are some photos from it:

Floozy in the 'Ditch

This week is a Shoreditch special! I visited London with Mumma Flooz and spent a sunny afternoon excitedly running off down side streets spotting some London heroes (and a few Brummy scoundrels), here are the highlights of my findings:
Swoon

Mr Fahrenheit, Golden Boy, Miss150, Lisk, Vomit

Muro Matem, Inkfetish, Ronzo

Gold Peg

Don, Vomit

I highly recommend Claudelondon for more London street art photos, the man spots new pieces before they're even up!

Normal service will resume next week.
