Brazil woz 'ere

Last week in Digbeth the Espirito Brum Brazilian festival happened! Music, workshops and art interventions took place over the 14th-18th and at some point around then Brazilian artist Renato Pontello did some painting with Tempo33, Newso, Ouch and Lisk.

This photo of the work on PST is taken from Renato Pontello's blog (I'll warn you now, it's in Spanish) because every time I went to get photos, there was a van or similar vehicle parked in front of the building.

Also on the Espirito Brum blog is a page on Birmingham street art:
"Beyond graffiti, art on the street is also represented in the form of paste ups, knitted installations and works of public art"
Knitted installations you say? That's me!

This week my new blog title became a little more finished with the completion of 'gutter' by Khoi:
I'm still waiting for 'snaps' from Wah and 'art' from Lisk... Come on guys! Everyone wants me to have a pretty new blog title!

This week (on the 27th, to be precise) this blog was mentioned on Digbeth is Good AND Created in Birmingham! The fame went straight to my head and I made a Facebook page for myself the blog. There's a box to your right where you can 'like' it if you want updates about Birmingham street arty things more often than once a week. I might even get round to giving away some stickers or bigger pieces by artists featured on here.
